私たちは進むべき道をデザインする。

デザインは変えられると信じている、
人々の手段を。
人々の視点を。
人々が持つイメージを。
人々の行動を。
人々の未来を。

人々は、進むべき道を見つければ、
目的の場所にたどり着くことができる。

例えば「空港」は、人種も国籍も様々な人々を
わかりやすく誘導するためのコミュニケーションデザイン。
出発する人、到着する人、通り過ぎる人、待つ人など、
さまざまな目的を持った人々を受け入れる空間デザイン。

余計な装飾や、無駄なものは排除し、
まさに空港として求められる機能を追及した結果、
そこには、美しさの介在をも許す。

この「機能美」こそがデザインの本質であり、
私たちが目指すデザイン。
私たちの手がけるブランディングや広告などの
様々なデザインにおいても同じことが言える。

メッセージを伝えるため。手に取ってもらうため。
人々の行動を変えるため。未来を展望するため。
つまり目的にたどり着くための機能を追及する。

時代、社会、流行はもちろん大事だ。
しかし機能するデザインは、色あせない。
これが私達の哲学であり、
“terminal”という名にこめた想いです。

デザインの本質は、「機能すること」であると考えています。
そのためには、点での表現にとどまるのではなく、
世に生み出されたものが、どのように作用し届くのか。

yoshio nakada

art director, founder

Born in Tokyo 1983. Representative of terminal inc.
After a gap year, Nakada entered Tokyo Zokei University for industrial design.
Dropped out after six years, having redone the fourth year three times.
Nakada designed flyers and helped manage club events during his time at school, which sparked an interest in graphic design.
Joining the graphic team at un-T factory! inc. as part-time just by chance, later led to becoming a full-time employee there.
Beame an independent freelancer a month after the Great East Japan Earthquake.
Established terminal Inc. in March 2013, on Nakada’s 30th birthday.
Works in a wide range of design fields, from branding for corporate and commercial facilities to art direction for advertisements, graphic design, web design, and video. Loves sexy & urban design and music.

中田嘉生

1983年東京生まれ。 terminal Inc.代表。
1年間の浪人を経て、東京造形大学インダストリアルデザイン専攻入学。
4年生を3回、計6年間在籍したのち中退。
在学中より、クラブイベントのフライヤーのデザインなどをしながら
運営の手伝いをし、グラフィックデザインの面白さに目覚める。
ひょんなことから株式会社アンティーファクトリーのグラフィック部門、
ジ・アングラフィックにアルバイトで拾ってもらう。しれっとその後正社員に。
そして、東日本大震災の翌月、フリーランスとして独立。
2013年3月、30歳の誕生日にterminal Inc.設立。
企業や商業施設等のブランディング、広告等のアートディレクション、
グラフィックデザイン、webデザイン、映像など、
多岐に渡るデザインを手がける。
セクシーでアーバンなデザインと音楽が好き。

Born in Tokyo 1981. Graduated from Rikkyo University.
Worked for a commercial production company and Recruit Co..
Moved to the U.K. a month after the Great East Japan Earthquake to make sushi for a living.
Returned to Japan in 2013 with only 20,000 yen in his pocket and came to terminal.
Favorite food is Anko (red bean paste). Favorite club team is Arsenal F.C..

石井喜吉

1981年東京生まれ。立教大学卒業。
CMの制作会社やリクルートに勤め、
東日本大震災の翌月渡英。
寿司業を生業にする。2013年に帰国。
所持金が2万円しかなく、2万円を握りしめてterminalへ。
そのままお世話になる。
好きな食べ物はあんこ。好きなクラブチームはアーセナル。

While working as writer, manage Bar and EC website as sidework.
Officially join terminal Inc in 2016.

飯塚鉄平

1980年東京都生まれ。
アパレルやECサイトなどで生産管理職を経験後、
2012年にフリーランスのライターとして独立。
執筆の傍ら、ECサイトやBARの運営を行いながら、
terminal Inc.で活動し、2016年に正式合流。

After graduating from Meiji University’s School of Commerce, joined terminal in October 2022 through a friend’s recommendation.
Loves 80s and 90s movies. “The Breakfast Club” is an all-time favorite (but actually it’s Harry Potter).
In another life I’d be Yukako Hayase, a Japanese special singer.

大石良穂

1998年　東京都生まれ
明治大学商学部卒業ののち、
荒木さんに紹介してもらって、
2022年10月にterminalに入社。
80~90年代の映画が好き。
オールタイム・ベストは『The Breakfast Club』。
ハリーポッターでいうところの『アズカバンの囚人』・
生まれ変わったら早瀬優香子になりたい。

Worked as a designer at an advertising production company.
With a sudden urge to work in a new environment, he joined terminal Inc. in March 2024, attracted by the friendly atmosphere.
Everyone fears his blank expressions.So he practices smiling when riding around on a Loop.
Hobbies include strength training and baking sweets.

木村亮

1989年兵庫県生まれ。
宝塚造形芸術大学デザイン学科卒業。
広告制作会社にてデザイナーとして働く。
ふと新しい環境で働きたくなり、気さくな雰囲気に惹かれて
2024年3月にterminal Inc. に参加。
無表情で怖いとみんなから恐れられているため、
主にループでの移動中に笑顔の練習をしている。
趣味は筋トレとお菓子作り。
